Monday, July 26, 2010 marks the 20th anniversary for the signing of the

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Since, community businesses, groups and individuals have made significant strides to provide programs and accommodations for the full inclusion of persons with disabilities in every day American life.

Cities across the United States are celebrating the ADA's accomplishments and re-committing to its ideals and goals.

EOTP is organizing the Hawaii Island of Oahu event. We are inviting organizations, community groups and individuals to join us in commemorating this civil rights milestone.

EVENT DETAILS

Time: 10:00am to 11:30am

Place: State Capitol Rotunda

NOTE:  General event follows from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm with exhibits, entertainment and refreshments.

12:00 PM to 4:00 PM– GENERAL EVENT begins.

Exhibits open to all guests with music, art, and information about individuals with disabilities in Hawaii.

4:30 PM – PRIVATE HONOREE RECEPTION at YWCA of Oahu, 1040 Richards Street
